October Events on Cape Cod 2018
Just because the summer is over does not mean that the fun has to end! Here is a listing of all of the events happening this month to celebrate this spooky time of the year.
October
Pumpkin People in the Park
Location: Kate Gould Park, Chatham
Time: All day
The Pumpkin People in the Park are back at Kate Gould Park in the center of town in Chatham. Cape Cod Tree & Landscape has their own M&M’s pumpkin people display you just have to check out! Fun and free for all ages.
October 20th
Oktoberfest in Chatham
Location: Kate Gould Park, Chatham
Time: 10:30am – 4:30pm
The entire park is filled with festive pumpkin people, and there is a variety of activities going on around you and all the beer and bratwurst you can stomach. Live music and kids games will be offered as well.
Mom & Pop’s Oktoberfest
Location: Mom & Pop’s, Chatham
Time: 11:30am – 3:30pm
Lamplighter Brewing Company will be featured and the sounds of The Silent Trees will be playing during Mom & Pop’s Oktoberfest this Saturday. There is a Stein Hoisting competition at 1pm.
October 21st
Keeler Family Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
Location: St. Martin’s Lodge
Time: 8:00am – 12:00pm
The Keeler family is dear to many of us in Chatham, so let’s come together as a community to help them when they need it most. Suggested donations are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
October 26
Halloween Parade
Location: Brewster Ladies Library, Brewster
Time: 10:00am – 11:30am
Don’t forget to wear your costumes and join the Brewster Ladies Library for their parade to the Brewster Store to enjoy a song or two with Cathy Hatch, then over to Kinlin Grover for goodies.
Enchanted Forest
Location: Mass Audobon Long Pasture Wildlife Refuge, Wellfleet
Time: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
A guide will lead you through a lantern lit path where you will encounter all types of creatures! This is a great event for kids ages 3 to 12.
Costume Party: Night of the Living Dead
Location: Cape Cod Beer
Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Enjoy the sounds of the Zombie Polka Band and dress up as your favorite scientist or celebrity (alive or deceased). A cask beer will be released at this party!
Haxan at Cape Cinema with Music by The Infra-Men
Location: Cape Cinema, Dennis
Time: 8:30pm – 11:00pm
There will be a pre-screening costume party, so dress up because you could win some one of a kind prizes! Tickets can be pre-ordered on the Cape Cinema website.
October 27
Green Halloween
Location: Cape Cod Museum of Natural History
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
There are no tricks, only treats at this green Halloween party. Dress up and enjoy crafts, games and plenty of goodies from local vendors such as the Local Scoop!
Kid’s Halloween Bash!
Location: Yarmouth Loyal Order of Moose
Time: 10:00am
Dress up in your Halloween best because there will be a costume contest in addition to a raffle, games, and plenty of vendors to shop at this Halloween bash!
Trunk or Treat
Location: Brewster Baptist Church
Time: 12:30pm – 2:30pm
There will be music, a playground and plenty of trick or treating at this trunk or treat. Kids can trick or treat at decorated cars and there will even be a visit from the Brewster Fire Department!
Halloween Sidewalk Stroll
Location: Downtown Orleans
Time: 2:30 - 3:30pm

Time: 3:30 - 4:30pm
Lots of spooky good fun for costumed children who make stops at local businesses that are offering candy to Trick or Treaters.
October 28
Dennis Police Halloween Hustle
Location: Mayflower Beach, Dennis
Time: 11:00am – 2:00pm
The 7th Annual Dennis Police Halloween Hustle begins at Mayflower Beach (parking at Cape Cinema) and finishes with a bash at Chapin’s. There will be a costume contest and trick or treating along the route for kids that are accompanied by a registered participant in the race.
Halloween Spooktacular
Location: Flax Pond Lodge, Yarmouth
Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Children ages kindergarten to 5th grade are invited to wear their costumes and participate in this family friendly event which includes music, games and goodies!
Trick or Treat
Location: Wingate Residences at Brewster Place, Brewster
Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
This is a popular event for not only the residents of Wingate, but also the children so space is limited. Refreshments and goodies are served, and the event is open to the public and free.
October 30
Slightly Spooky Halloween Fest
Location: Osterville Village Library
Time: 4:00pm – 4:30pm
Children ages 4 to 6 are welcome to enjoy spooky Halloween themed stories and participate in crafts. Costumes are not required, but costumes make everything more fun!
October 31
Halloween Parade
Location: Brooks Free Library, Harwich
Time: 10:30am – 11:00am
This event is free, and registration is not required! The event kicks off with a Halloween themed story time followed by a parade where the kids can trick or treat along the way, so make sure to dress up!
Kids Halloween Great n Treat
Location: Pilgrim Monument & Museum, Provincetown
Time: 3:30pm – 6:30pm
There is a parade that kicks off the event, and then the kids get to trick or treat from different decorated vehicles on Motta Field.
Safe Trick or Treating
Location: Main Street, Hyannis
Time: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Safe trick or treating for the kids with merchants along Main Street in Hyannis!
The Witch at the Cape Cinema
Location: Cape Cinema, Dennis
Time: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
