Rockin’ Round the Christmas Tree: Drummer Boy Park, Route 6-A, Brewster, Dec. 1, begins at 4PM.  The holidays arrive at the Drummer Boy Park with a Christmas Tree lighting, (wind mill lighting, too!) carols, Santa Claus, doughnuts and cider.

 

The Train to Christmas Town Departing from Buzzards Bay: Buzzards Bay Depot, 70 Main St., Buzzards Bay.  Starts Thanksgiving Weekend.  See website for dates. 3:30, 5:30 & 7:30PM.  Tickets: $25 - $75

 

Brewster Band Holiday Concert: Brewster Baptist Church, 1848 Main St., Brewster, Dec. 1, 7PM.

 

The Cape Cod Enchanted Village: Cape Codder Resort & Spa in Hyannis, begins Dec. 1 at dusk. See Santa’s Village, thousands of lights, snowmen, and warm yourselves the bonfire (weather permitting). Feel free to bring a new toy, nonperishable food or a gift card for the “Giving Tree”.  (Donations benefit the Independence House in Hyannis.)  The Cape Cod Surftones (12/9) and the Regency Brass Ensemble (12/2, 12/16 & 12/23) will perform live music on Saturdays at 7PM.  Santa will visit Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 5 – 8PM, December 1st through the 23rd.

A Charlie Brown Christmas and Celebration! Academy of Performing Arts, 120 Main St., Orleans.  Dec. 1st-30th, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30PM; Sundays at 2PM (No Performances 12/22, 12/23, 12/24).  Tickets: $20

 

Santa Stampede 5K and Family Fun Run: The Barley Neck Inn, 5 Beach Rd., Orleans, Dec. 2, Registration 9AM, Race starts at 10:30AM.  Walkers welcome.  Don your best holiday costume and hit the road!  Prizes for Fastest Mr. Claus, Ms. Claus, and Mini Claus; Overall Fastest in holiday costume: Male and Female; Holiday Costume Winner (bib required).  Pre-registration $25.  Registration at event $30.  Register here

The first 200 registrants will receive a long-sleeved T-shirt.  Please feel free to bring a wrapped gift for the Lower Cape Outreach Council or gift cards for teens for the Homeless Prevention Council “Adopt a Family” program.

 

“New” Rocking Christmas in Harwich: Dec. 2, 7 – 10PM.  Live music and dancing, light refreshments and non-alcoholic drinks.  Tickets: $15 (Pre-registration required)

 

Christmas Fair: West Yarmouth Congregational Church, 383 Main St. (Route 28), West Yarmouth, Dec. 2, 10AM to 3PM.  Come and shop for Holiday greenery, homemade baked goods, cheeses, jellies, salsas, fudge, preserves, jewelry, Christmas ornaments and much more!

 

Santa at Ring Brothers Market: 485 Route 134, S. Dennis, Dec. 2, 11AM to 1PM.

 

 

Hyannis Village Christmas Stroll: Main Street, Hyannis, Dec. 2, 11AM – 3PM.  Breakfast with Santa at the British Beer Company (9 and 10:30AM seatings), skating at the “Little Lorusso Skating Rink” (use loaners or bring your own skates), watch an ice scuplturer at work at the JFK Museum, magicians, horse drawn carriage rides, scavenger hunt, music, and the list goes on!  Click on the link to read more.

 

Christmas Trolley Ride: Harwich Chamber of Commerce, 1 School House Road, Harwichport, Dec. 2 & 3, see website for times.  Embark on a Christmas Trolley ride across town from the Harwich Chamber of Commerce to the Harwich Cultural Center.  Listen to Santa read “Polar Express” and make an ornament!  Admission: $5.  Call 508-430-1165 for details.  Some departure times have sold-out.


Santa Arrives at Chatham Fish Pier: Shore Rd, Chatham, Dec. 3, 1:30 -2PM.  The Chatham Coast Guard Station crew gives Santa a lift to the Fish Pier! 

 

Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster Hosts Brewster for the Holidays 11th Annual Holiday Party: 869 Main St., Brewster, Dec. 3, 2-4PM.  Santa arrives at 2:15PM, refreshments, crafts and activities for children, music and so much more!  If the spirits moves you, please bring a non-perishable food item for the food pantry.

 

Breakfast with Santa at the West Barnstable Fire Dept: 2160 Meetinghouse Way, West Barnstable, Dec. 3, 8AM – 12PM. 

 

3rd Annual Craft Fair & Bake Sale for the Brewster Animals Rescue League: 

First Parish Brewster Unitarian Universalist Meeting House, Main St., Brewster, Dec. 3, 12-3PM. Browse the wares of local bakers, vendors, and crafters!  A gift wrap station will be available to wrap your purchases!

 

8th Annual Glassblowers’ Christmas: Sandwich Glass Museum, 129 Main St., Sandwich, Daily through Dec. 30.  Hundreds of amazing handmade glass holiday ornaments will be on display in the Contemporary Galley.  Each one is the creation of a local glass artisan. Adults: $9 Children 6-14 $2, (children under six are free).

 

Gardens Aglow: A Treasured Holiday Tradition Heritage Museums and Gardens, 67 Grove Street, Sandwich, runs daily through Dec. 22, 4:30 to 8:30PM.  See more than ten miles of lights, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, roast marshmallows, enjoy live music, and much more!  Admission: Adults $18, Children $8

 

Christmas Shorts in the Black Box Theater: Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Falmouth Rd, Cotuit, Dec. 7 – 22, Thursday – Saturday at 7:30PM, Sundays at 1PM.  Tickets: $18 ($15.00 for members).  Come and see five short humorous holiday plays!

 

Chatham Christmas Stroll: Main Street, Chatham, Dec. 8, begins at 5:45PM with parade and then the 6PM tree lighting ceremony at Kate Gould Park.  Musical entertainment, special sales, giveaways, raffles, and, of course, Santa!  So much to see and do!

 

A Christmas Carol:  Cape Cod Theatre Company, 105 Division Street, Harwich.  Dec. 8 – 31, 7:00 PM, (Matinees Dec. 10, 17, 27, 28, 31 at 2PM.)  Tickets: Adults $25, Children $15.  Charles Dickens’s holiday favorite, as adapted by Eric Hill.

Chatham Historic Inn Holiday Tour: Dec. 9, 1 – 4PM.  See some of Chatham’s historic inns decked in all their Christmas finery!  Tickets are $20.00 and may be purchased at Chatham Wayside Inn, Cape Cod Five Bank (Main St., Chatham), Puritan Cape Cod, Chatham, and Rockland Trust Bank (Chatham).

Irish Christmas Traditions: Ancient, Pagan, Christian: Barnstable Senior Center, 825 Falmouth Rd., Hyannis, Dec. 18, 10 – 11AM.  Presentation by Sean Murphy.  Free.

 

Sounds of the Season: Chatham Bars Inn (Monomoy Room), Shore Road, Chatham, Dec. 21, 5:30PM.  Vocalists from the Academy Playhouse perform a wonderful selection of holiday music.  Cocktails at 5:30PM, followed by the 6PM concert.  Admission: $22.
